Spanish Basics for Medical Professionals

Welcome to Spanish Basics for Medical Professionals. This self-paced course is comprised of 14 lessons to help you begin your journey of learning Spanish for use in a medical setting. Below is the list of topics for each lesson. Please watch the introductory video to get started.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to recognize basic vocabulary related to the medical field and anatomy. They will have a better understanding of the cultural differences that may arise during treatment and be able to better understand and speak basic Spanish related to their profession.

*Getting Continuing Education Credits for Your Specialization

This course is worth 6 CE credits.

Each type of medical provider has slightly differing continuing education requirements. There is no process to get a class approved for continuing education for most specialties within Washington State. Instead, the course must provide applicable information that is directly related to the specialty and provide a certificate of completion that shows the provider completed the course. Upon completing this course, you will receive a certificate of completion via email that meets those requirements.

In case of an audit of your continuing education credits, please save the certificate of completion you receive upon completing the course. Below are links to more information about receiving continuing education credits for several medical specialties.
